Celebrating Our Newest AWS Heroes – September 2026
AWS has introduced the newest members of the AWS Heroes program — a worldwide group of AWS experts who go above and beyond to share knowledge, mentor others, and build thriving communities. These individuals help developers and organizations succeed with AWS.
This month, AWS welcomed three exceptional community leaders from across the globe, each with deep expertise and a commitment to empowering builders.
Avinash Shashikant Dalvi – Bengaluru, India is a Serverless Hero: a tech architect and co-organizer of AWS User Group Bengaluru focused on serverless, containers, and production-ready applications on AWS. He has delivered over 40 community talks, publishes the AWS for Product Builders newsletter, and creates technical content covering Amazon ECS, AWS Fargate, AWS Lambda, and AWS Amplify.
Two further Heroes joined alongside him — the pattern that makes the program worth following is consistent: people who turn hard-won operational experience into free, high-signal content and mentorship for the wider community.
Why the program matters
For practitioners, the Heroes program is a reliable source of community experts whose talks, newsletters, and open source contributions are often more current — and more honest about trade-offs — than vendor marketing. Following the September cohort's areas (serverless, containers, ECS/Fargate, Amplify) is a practical way to keep a finger on what production users actually do with AWS.
Bottom line
Three new community leaders join the AWS Heroes program this month, led by a Bengaluru serverless architect with 40+ talks to his name. If you build on AWS, their content is worth adding to your reading list.
