SOGo Community of Practice (CoP) – 15 April 2026
The latest SOGo Community of Practice session took place on Wednesday, 15 April 2026.
Highlights:
- Frank Richter (TU Chemnitz) shared his 2FA integration solution implemented in production — a practical deep-dive into securing SOGo with two-factor authentication
- We got a sneak peek of SOGo 6 — the next major release is taking shape
- The beta-testing roadmap was discussed, outlining the path toward the public beta planned for autumn
- I advocated for open-sourcing the SOGo codebase as soon as possible to strengthen community trust and accelerate development

An open-source extension of openDesk Community Edition that adds educational services to the openDesk cloud stack. Integrates learning management systems (ILIAS, Moodle), video conferencing (BigBlueButton), and file sharing (OpenCloud) — all with Keycloak SSO and one-command Kubernetes deployment via Helmfile.
